I am 22 and today I had a doctor's visit. I had my blood pressure high today and the doctor wants to check my blood pressure five times before he can diagnose it. I asked him if my overweight can be a cause of it and he said probably not and that it may be linked to the birth control method I was using (nuvaring). My height is 5'4 and my weight is 175.
my blood pressure was like 142/90

im 20 years old and i sprianed my ankle and the ER dr took my BP and it was 153/103 im on antidepressants bipolar meds and xanax AND im on depo and i have a 1 yr old lil boy.. im 5′3 and weigh about 200 im freaking out… im currently working on loosing weight but my ankle has delayed my excercize… is loosing weight the only thing i should do????? or is there some other things i can do???? Don't worry John, she will pull out of the situation as smokers suffer from COPD and give a tough fight at low oxygen saturation too.The doctor will give her diuretics as she might have retained water in the body and some BP lowering pill (except beta blocker, if she has lung problem).

It depends on what you consider too low. Many people can function very well with low blood pressures. If it gives you severe dizziness or fainting, then it needs to be treated. With high blood pressure, you can get dizziness and headaches and if left untreated, can lead to strokes which can cause permanent damage to your brain and body. And, untreated high blood pressure causes damage to the lining of your vessels which cannot be repaired. High blood pressure always needs treated to prevent future damage. Normal blood pressure should be UNDER 120/80.
My blood pressure has been roughly 150/100 for weeks. Today it went up to 174/126. How dangerous is that?

Keep your weight down through diet and exercise. And don't have stress in your life. That is all you can do.
If the heart disease has been mostly in one form, then consider testing for it now while there are no symptoms. gmine’s usually about 130 -150 /80 – 100… bpm between 70-120…. (and those are the actual readings, I haven’t got it wrong).
But I don’t worry too much about it… if something happens it happens, it’s called life.
