Help answer the question about high blood pressure
What is considered high blood pressure for a 19 year old?
When I was at school, my university doctor diagnosed me with high blood pressure. I took medication (Atenol sp?) for a while before running out and summer vacation starting. I saw my family doctor at home now 3 months into summer vacation, and he said my blood pressure is fine.
I recently decided to log my blood pressure over the past month. Thus far in the morning it's averaging at 135/79, and at night 136/85. Hypertension starts at 140/90, which it looks like I'm just beneath. My family doctor says im in the 95th percentile for my age in blood pressure, but 95 still in the range that it's normal…
Should I be getting a third opinion? Could it be higher because of the stress at school? Should I be taking blood pressure meds? I really dont wanna die of a heart attack when I'm 35, so advice is appreciated here.

My mother & step-father have HBP. They are both taking Omega-3 Fish Oil supplements. They have only taken it for a few weeks & said that their bp has significantly lowered.
Also things like caffeinated & alcholic drinks will raise bp. Take in moderation.
An old wives tale that I am not too sure about is vinegar. Take a teaspoon of vinegar a day. Yuck, but lots of people say that it works.

im 20 years old and i sprianed my ankle and the ER dr took my BP and it was 153/103 im on antidepressants bipolar meds and xanax AND im on depo and i have a 1 yr old lil boy.. im 5′3 and weigh about 200 im freaking out… im currently working on loosing weight but my ankle has delayed my excercize… is loosing weight the only thing i should do????? or is there some other things i can do???? IM SCARED!!!

gmine’s usually about 130 -150 /80 – 100… bpm between 70-120…. (and those are the actual readings, I haven’t got it wrong).
But I don’t worry too much about it… if something happens it happens, it’s called life.
My blood pressure has been roughly 150/100 for weeks. Today it went up to 174/126. How dangerous is that?
